i'm having trouble hosting my private server cos i'm having a 10.48.0.xx IP (internal IP ? ) and a external IP 140.128.194.xxx (statics )
some of them said it 's impossible to host it to the outside world... which means only people inside my uni LAN can view it ...
do you guys think it's possible ? please enlight me .. thx |

If you're on a university LAN, you will have no access to the routers or any other networking hardware. You will not be able to set up any port forwarding to your PC, so no incoming traffic will reach it. In short, no, your PC will not be able to act as a webserver for anyone outside the LAN. |

Since your external IP seems to belong to a university, you should probably ask your network administrator to allow incoming traffic to your server. This is the only way to let people have access to your server which is behind a router and probably a firewall. _________________ Support Team
