Does anyone have any code I could use to create a forum such as this?
I could have sworn somebody put something about this up before, but I ran a search for it and couldn't find it. |

It would be difficult to create a forum on your own, especially one as good as this. I would just download this one from www.phpbb.com and save yourself the trouble!
I don't remember anyone posting anything about a forum but if I see anything I'll let you know. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

You are correct. I will go and find another link for you. In the mean time download PHP. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

First you need to install both PHP and MySQL for it to work. Then follow the tutorial again, at www.trustabyss.com. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

Well, PHP shouldn't crash your computer it was probably something else. I have been running PHP for about 7-8 months now and I have never had either of my 2 systems crash from it.
Try it again and see what results you get. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

I have a forum, but its not a public one really, I made it for a specific purpose, and it isnt perticularly good.
You may as well use PhpBB of IF. _________________

PHP doesn't crash computers. Seriously speaking, did your computer crash, or did PHP crash? |

PHP crashed, followed shortly by my computer.
(Both times. I re-installed it and it did it again.) |

PHP couldn't take down all the computer. You have probably a serious problem with your XP setup (may be some buggy drivers). _________________ Support Team

I'm having another problem.....
I've installed PHP, MySQL, and I'm currently following the tutorial for phpMyAdmin. I installed all of these using the tutorials on trustabyss.com. When I click the link in the tutorial to access the phpMyAdmin Page (http://127.0.0.1/phpadmin/) I get the following error message (in the screenshot below). What is wrong? I've tried the tutorials again, but the message is the same. I know that PHP is installed correctly, but I'm not sure about MySQL.
HELP ME PLEASE!!! ;)

When you launch MySQL v4.1.x , you should use mysqld.exe

i get an error that looks like this when i try to install PHPMYADMIN
phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in config.inc.php and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.

It means that your username and password for MySQL are set incorrectly. |

But maybe it is. So check.
It could also be port, or knowing some people, maybe you need to start it. |
