I just learned how to make my website page using a html editor software. But now i wanna know how to make a site to where me and a few friends can chat, like a yahoo or aol chatroom, and to where they can choose they're own text and color. What program do i need for that?

thankx i downloaded a few to get started.

But when i installed PHP 5, the README FIRST notepad file says "If you have a PHP enabled server and a MySQL database, read on......" I got all but the MySQL, do i really need that? or i have to download it, because i have no idea what it is lol. Thankx for the help :-)

Pookie,

Some scripts need a MySQL database to store their data. So MySQL is not required unless your script requires it.

If you have problems with PHP 5/MySQL, we recommend installing our preconfigured PHP 5 package that solves many intsallation problems: http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/php5win.html . Of course, you'll need to install MySQL on your own from http://www.mysql.com if you need it.
