|
|
Hi,
As a newbie, I have no idea what I'm doing. I've been following the tutorials, manuals, etc. However, PHP doesn't seem to want to work at all.
I have a Sony VAIO (older model) running Win98 and am using Avant Browser. I installed a second 10Gig HD to use for the server ("D"). Installed Abyss to D. Downloaded and installed MDAC (it said it installed). Then downloaded and installed PHP v4 to D.
Everytime I try to run a script, it attempts to download instead of display the results.
Any help would be appreciated. |

Hi TRUST,
I was hoping it would be you!
I've spent the last week going over everything I can find. I've even uninstalled, re-formatted the drive, and installed the latest version of Abyss, re-installed PHP, etc.
Each time, I've gone over the settings in the manual and even cross-checked with what's on your site. Nothing seems to work. Are any of the following possible causes:
1) PHP is installed as a separate folder from AWS on the D drive;
2) is there something in the autoexec.bat that may need tuning;
3) is it possible there's an issue with my system?
Thanks |

TRUSTpunk found a conflict with Adobe Photo Deluxe 3.0 and PHP. Adobe associates php file extensions with its program. So, it seems if you have that installed you need to change that or delete the program. Since I don't even use it (came with the computer) it's outta here!
Thanks to TRUSTpunk, I can now use PHP!!!!
