You don't. You change your IP address in Windows/Linux/whatever you're running Abyss on.
If you mean change the address your ISP has assigned, you can't.
If you mean change the address you use on your LAN, you can.
If you mean get a hostname so that people can type http://yoursite.dyndns.com instead of an IP, check http://dyndns.org |

Where have you set 127.0.0.1 ? There is nowhere in Abyss to 'set' your IP. The status window shows the IP detected by Abyss but this does not mean it is the only IP you can use. In the non beta version, Abyss listens on all available IPs.
Use http://www.aprelium.com/ip to check your IP - this should work too, unless you have a router, in which case check the FAQ or the sticky topic in the Networking section of this forum. |
