Hi there, I setup all my webserver...
but the problem was only in localhost and 127.0.0.1
...when i enter localhost in IE, it shows my website which is currently residing in htdocs directory......
but when i enter 127.0.0.1 in IE, it brings me to the default page of Abyss Web Server...
Why??? And How can i change it(127.0.0.1) to show my website....and
also how can i change this localhost or 127.0.0.1 to smthg which I like, like u know people have, .com, or .org things,????
I would appreciate ur help guys..! |

- register a domain name (ex. yahoo.com, amazon.com, whatever you want) good place is at godaddy.com (8$/Year)
- go to www.aprelium.com/ip and get your IP Address...(Remember if your behind a network make sure you set your router to point to your computer as web host....
- go back to your admin page at godaddy.com and set Name Servers to point to your IP that you got from www.aprelium.com/ip
- and i believe that should do the job,
anybody if i missed something...add it

localhost is mapped to 127.0.0.1 and it should work no matter which one you type...make sure you clean all temp files used by IE, and then try it....
anyone else....?

Try forcing a compete refresh of the page. It seems that your browser is getting this old page from its cache. A full refresh is done by pressing CTRL+SHIFT+R.

hey where can i chage those ip to mine ip
Web server local URL: http://127.0.0.1:8000/
Console local URL: http://127.0.0.1:9999/
i want to chage the 127.0.0.1 to the ip i have but i cant find where i chage it can some1 plzz say where i chage 127.0.0.1 to that ip i want ???? |
