Check that your firewall isn't blocking the port (normally port 80) that your web server uses. |

Your being very vague, its much easier for us to help you if you give us some more information.

Are you using a router? Setup port forwarding (sometimes called "Virtual Server")
Are you using Ms Windows XP? If yes check your firewall settings (advice here)
Setup your normal firewall to allow Abyss Internet access.
And lastly if these points don't work try a different port, as some ISP's block access to port 80. (81's a good choice). _________________ Olly |

have you tried asking someone else to access your site as some routers do not support loopback. _________________ Olly |

Brakhane,
I had the same type of issue over the last few days with mine. My setup has a router and WinXP. What finally worked was setting up a static IP address for my box that was hosting the site.
Go to www.portforward.com and select router, then find your router.
Look at the documents:
1) Setting up a Static IP with the xxx router
2) Setting up a static IP on Windows 98 (there will be a link in the document above)
3) Firewalling for the xxx router
4) Port Forwarding for the xxx router
Follow them in this order and you should be able to get the set up correct. |
