Hello,
I had a problem last month with assess rights. That appears to have been rectified and it worked at the time.

I am now having problems assessing the website with Abbys issuing a 403 error every time. My ACME certificate and server is up to date and the server appears to be running correctly as seen in the console.

Where do I start to look for a solution to this problem?

I accidentally found the problem.
I was looking at Abyss and it's operation. But, then, accidentally noticed that my website root folder had all the files missing including the index file. Of course the server cannot operate without an index file.

I found a backup and restored it. The Abyss server now magically works.

Out of curiosity, what was the cause of the missing files?

All the files in the website root folder disappeared but not the sub folders.
I still do not understand how this happened.

In a previous post I was told that installation of Abyss should not take place in C:\Program Files (86)\ but rather in the root of drive C:.
Although Abyss is now working, I would like to move the installation to the root folder.
Is there a way of doing this without loosing all the settings data?

fhutt,

We suggest sending your abyss.conf file to our technical support by email. We will review it and suggest the quickest solution to perform the move.
