| I don't know if this only happens to me but the server I hosted using Abyss Beta 2 tends to lag after a few hours operating. It is very obvious lagging because it takes several seconds to render the automatic directory listing, which usually takes less than 1 second when the server newly launched. Is it a bug in beta 2 or my computer's problem? Thanks for any insightful advice. |

Hello eyn--
I do not know what might be causing this but I would tell you that I haven't known the beta to exhibit this behavior not have I heard any reports of this.
There are a ton of variables that go into serving pages and it is hard to make a guess based what you have said.

| Thanks for your reply! I think it's a result of using other program at the same time. I have ZoneAlarm and DirectUpdate for the DNS running and after a while the server hosted with Abyss will start lagging very badly. After I turned them off and keep the server running for a few hours, I notice there's no lagging as before. I'm not too sure what's the cause, but maybe it's the ZoneAlarm firewall? |
