|
I'm very new compared to the so many other Abyss Web Server veterans here, but I plan to use this for as long as possible (and hopefully save up enough to buy X2 one day!)
I'm interested to see what your stats are like (particularly the people who've been using it for the longest)
These are mine - I run a website with a steady amount of traffic per day. I used to run it on a MUCH OLDER laptop, but the hard drive died so I can't fetch the stats (I think I used it for about 30 days on that one)

And what's your internet speed like? Mine's 50mbps down, 20mbps up, but it uses the Cloudflare CDN, so I can cache a lot of stuff to take the strain off my home internet lol

It runs on a 500/500 fiber connection. The total uptime is only 54 days, since I built a new server to run it on last November. It hosts 3 domains, a bunch of sub-domains and I use a Content Delivery Network for the Graphics & Javascript to speed up the website worldwide. _________________ https://www.arnauddeklerk.com

Home fiber connection (2 Gb/s down, 600 Mb/s up). Not done much with my server these past few years, but Abyss has been running well without any problems. _________________ ~ Dan

I have been using Abyss for quite awhile :) This uptime is just since I switched over to Linux. I definitely recommend everyone run their servers on Linux! (Aprelium does :)
You can learn more at https://abyssvids.pksml.net.
I have a humble 110/10mbps cable internet connection and Abyss hosts a few miscellaneous websites. _________________ Stephen

Nice! I plan to stick with Abyss for a while, and hopefully get X2 one day.
@pksml How did u make that dynamic gif that shows all your stats at the bottom? It's really cool. |

I'll be sticking to Abyss also... Also because I just ordered the X2 version recently so I can host multiple domains. I really am impressed on how flexible, fast & lightweight this software it. The people of Aprelium have created a small miracle.
Looking forward to future versions with hopefully http2 support :) _________________ https://www.arnauddeklerk.com

Definitely get X2!
As for the gif file, you can download it here --> https://stephen.yi.org/Abyss_stats.zip
It should be pretty self-explanatory, but let me know if you have any questions.
PS I got this script initially from somebody else and modified it quite a bit. Excuse any poor coding... that was a LONG time ago! _________________ Stephen
