|
|
Hi, I am new to Xubuntu, tried to install Abyss.
Made a directory apps within home dir; used "tar xzfm" to install abyss, but get an error because "f" parameters are missing, apparently install method has changed.
Tried tar --help and --usage, but this gives no clue to me.
Anyone?
btw: I use Abyss since 2004, but that's on Windows |

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I've been running Abyss on Linux for a few years now and made some tutorial videos to explain how to do it.
I think you'll find what you're looking for in video #5 (around the 15 min. part) at:

(X/Ubuntu and Debian are very similar) _________________ Stephen

tar has not changed since years and the f parameter has been there from day 1. So the issue may be elsewhere. Are you still encountering a problem? _________________ Follow @abyssws on Twitter
