Is there a way to setup the server to view the your site even when someone turns off your computer, or not? |

In simple terms no.
Their is a method of running a machine, it is in a state a bit like hibernating, it is still on but appears to be switched off.
The function 'WOL' or Wake-up On Lan is where your LAN card detects an incoming connection and wakes up tour machine. If you have ever been to a site that appears off line and 20 seconds later on-line..... One possible reason, WOL.
You still have to leave your machine plugged in and switched on although a machine in WOL mode will look switched off, so the real answer is no to your question.
IM curious though as to why you want to turn off your computer, I leave mine on 24/7 anyway, they consume a fraction of the power when compared to a TV or other household appliances. You leave your refrigerator plugged in, its electrical and just a prone to fire hazzard as is the washing machine which of all the kitchen applances is the most likely to start a house fire above anyother household appliance. |
