After speding a good few hours pulling my hair out (and reading thru the various postings) trying to get PHP5.0.1 working (and I like to think that I know what I am doing) I gave up and installed 4.3.8 and presto...

So if you are having problems with it, my recommendation is to not use it. Simple.

Save yourself a few hours of grief.

From what I can tell.. seems to be an issue with the php_cgi.exe interpreter.. maybe there are some unknown bugs within certain environements. I know some people seems to be having success with it but what can I say... What I do know is that no matter how hard I tried to get it to work.. no luck. Was starting to make my setups with Linux, Apache and Mysql feel like a breeze in comparison.

qaqaqa,

We have experienced no special problems with PHP 5 since its first Beta versions were released.

What are the problems you had with php_cgi.exe ? May be wa can help.

The problem is that php has set off the mysql support..
So, search for "extension=php_mysql.dll" in your php.ini and delete the ";"....

Now your problem is solved!!!!!!
