Hi,
I tried installing Abyss on Lubuntu.
Did the following: tar xzfm <Abyss Web Server installation package>
(actual version ofcourse)
The package is uncompressed, but that's all there is.
Has the install procedure to start automatically??
Tried to start abyssws but get a "no console" warning, that's all that happens...
Any help will be welcome
Btw new to installing Server(s) under Linux, had already several years 2 Linux PC's. |

Thanks for the reply.
Tried several times to install as described but with no success.
Installed Abyss now on Win10, that's a lot easier. |

If you want to toy around with Abyss on Linux, you can check out my site --> http://abyssvids.pksml.net/
I'd recommend Linux over Windows any day because of the enhanced security. There is a lot to learn, but it's worth it IMO.

Can you post here the errors or the problems you encountered so that we can assist you in solving them? "No success" is caused sometimes by a simple typo or a bad file name...
