If your using the new SP2 , I feel for you man , SP2 has issues with the
ActiveHTML application , it won't work at all , I never install Service Packs.

Your IP couldve changed when you posted it (unless there giving you a static one).

Is the firewall off in Windows?
Bring up abyss is there any errors, if so post them.

Yes , uninstall that stupid SP2 , it causes many problems for some software
so just remove it and start fresh , you should have never installed SP2 :(

why did you listen to TRUSTpunk? He has no idea what he is saying. You shouldve keeped SP2 for the following reasons:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/sp2/technologiesoverview.mspx

Anyways, My efforts show that port 81 is not open. How ever your SMTP seems to be up.

Dude , you need to stop saying that im wrong , I've helped many people in
the past I learned that this dude had SP2 and ASP never worked , after he
uninstalled SP2 , everything worked fine , if you want the full list of all the
applications failing on SP2 , I will be more than happy to show you it.

this "list" would it happen to be programs that fail on YOUR computer?

And mikewalterz1 do you have custom error pages up? What type are you trying to run, php, html, pl, asp, xml, ahtml, shtml?

your ip doesnt work..

http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/tracert.ch?ip=151.196.246.184%3A81

you give a bad ip..

go to http://www.aprelium.com/ip tell me your ip.

and dont say trust is wrong, sp2 is very unuseful, unless you actually love windows so much and is clouded, all it is, are patches to fix a few problems, in turn breaking other problems.. and a new "crappy" firewall update, and a no popup manager update which probably doesnt work.. ive seen sp2 too many problems on my forum groups, Trust knows what his saying, sp2 is to buggious, but why would i be suprised.. windows made it
reason enough..

oh btw, just uninstalling Sp2 doesnt work sometimes, as it can leave traces.. iif reformating isnt a problem, consider it.. if I cant help you, or aprelium

Im not trying to be rude to you and I expect some respect from you also , A
person that I helped that had Service pack 2 installed couldn't get ASP to
work , I went over everything with him , after all else failed , I told him that
he should get rid of Service Pack 2 and reinstall ActiveHTML , after that , it
worked perfectly with no problems , here's some recent programs.

SP2 Incompatibility:

I hope you know you posted a link on how to fix SP2 incompatibility issues...

"After you install Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), some programs may seem not to work. By default, Windows Firewall is enabled and blocks unsolicited connections to your computer. This article discusses how to make an exception and enable a program to run by adding it to the list of exceptions. This procedure permits the program to work as it did before the service pack was installed."

You could have just told him that link.....

k, I trace routed it, the ip works, perhaps, your isp blocks port 80.

http://www.dnsstuff.com/tools/tracert.ch?ip=151.196.246.184

try 8080.

if its Wireless lan, then it will work much like a normal router,

yeah my isp does block 80 so that is why i used 81 but it still doesn't work. See on my win98 with the same net connection the server works but it doesn't in winXP.
