Hello!
I recently bought Netgear DG834 so I could make a webserver, after building the server and setting up the network, and installed abyss.. what do I have to do to make it visible to the web
the main network ip from my isp is 195.137.8.68 and the system ip (server) is 192.168.000.004 (class-c) ... I used DMZ to make it fuly accessible, so now what? what would its ip be online? I tried 195.137.8.68:80 that just brought me to my router login... so... how do I go about configuring it!
cheers

The ip to give people is 195.137.8.68 - and it's working fine. You get your router login page because your router can't handle loopback. Search the forum for loopback for more details.
You can check if your site is working using http://www.proxify.com - you won't be able to access your site by typing your internet IP directly. |

I forwarded ports 0 - 80 and added a service when a between port 0 - 80 is reached it automatically goes to my webserver..
but it still comes up with the login :/
Can someone give me direct instructions for the DG834?
Cheers :) |

You don't need to touch your router anymore, it's over. Look in the sticky in this thread for information for how to get around loopback. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
