n00b question ;)

Hi all!
I'm running vbulletin 3.0.1 on my abyss web server, on a WinXP Pro system, but people can't upload an avatar to the board.

can anybody give me some hints what to check to get it working?

Can you give a better description than "people can't upload?" Do they receive an error message? If so, what is it?

They don't get an error message. just like it uploads fine... only the avatar doesnt show and the customavatar folder is empty..

don't know what it could be..

Try increasing the maximum CGI execution time in the Abyss console, and also in the php.ini file.

is there any error message like file size too big or timeout? i never used vb so its kinda confusing for me :-\

If it takes too long to execute, PHP will sometimes output that it took too long (it's happened to me before, but it doesn't happen all the time).

maybe its de GD library (Graphics extencion of PHP) if u dont have that installed try installing that
