i was looking to set up my page so i can ftp to my website from work to update and transfer files back and forth.

There is FTP access if you install and configure an FTP server. Abyss is a web (HTTP) server. Search the forum for others recommendations on what FTP server to use. My personal recommendation is Filezilla.
