				Hello,

Ran across something odd. Server, and php forms were running swell. Out of nowhere, forms stopped sending. Was recieving error 500's. I reinstalled php. I reinstalled my formmail. I played with the configurations of both for HOURS. I spent time searching through the forums & FAQ's for the form, and Abyss.

This morning, I rebooted the machine, not the server.....and all is well. Must have been some kind of 'spooky' thing that happened.

Thought I would post this in case someone else was pulling out their hair too! Try the simple things first!

BTW: Thanks again Aprelium. This server has made me look goooooood!

				lestat,

Do you have enough memory (and virtual memory)? What is the version of PHP you're using? _________________ Support Team

VIRTUAL MEMORY -2047MB

                  USED -149MB

                   FREE -1898MB

SWAP - 1984MB

 USED - 88MB

  FREE - 1896MB

PHP - 4.3.6

PHPFORMMAIL - 1.0.6

I read somewhere that some formmails dont get along well with 98, but It's all I have for now. It's only happening on a form submission. I noticed there has been a newer Perl version out from the one I am using. I am going to upgrade that and see if it helps. |

The formmail does send. The user just recieves a time out, or an error 500.

The thing is, that I didn't change anything. I don't get it. |

Try increasing the time that is alloted scripts to send in CGI Perameters in the Console. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

				| nada, got it set at 45secs now. I almost think this is related to the php engine somehow. Hiwever, I did reinstall php, and still get the same results. |

I know this isn't a php forum, but I found something odd with this.

When I change the max_execution_time=30 to 120 in my php.ini the form does execute.

Any idea? |

Yes, that is also something you can change. That is almost like the Console option--it tells how much time a script gets to execute. If your computer is slow, you need to allot more time. _________________ Bienvenidos! |
