dude i just get my site hosted using abyss.
Are u sure u havnt put 127.0.0.1 for the domain redirection?

You've got your domain name pointing to the wrong IP.
You're using 127.0.0.1, which is wrong. You need to be using
your external IP, which can be found here:
http://www.aprelium.com/ip/ |

ok,
confused now - i put my ip address in but its saying that its not a vadid web address.
i am totally new to this own server business.
btw, my domain is with 123reg.co.uk
now what do i do?

| Did you try puting the port number you have set after 62.252.192.8, kinda like this, "62.252.192.8:80"? I tried port 80, 8080, and 8000 and got nothing, but just type in your port number after your ip. |

80, 8080, and 8000 didn't give me the 'invalid web address' fault.
however, my domain keeps coming up 'error cancelled'
I hope i get this working!

Do you have a router? If so, configure port forwarding here.
Also, your ISP may be blocking port 80. Change the port in the console, and append it to the end of your IP (IP:PORT).
