If i put my computer on stand by will people still be able to access my site??

No,
If you have windows you can lock the computer instead. If you have FireDaemon you can log off, but putting your computer in standbye will not allow people to access your server.
While on standby, your monitor and hard disks turn off, and your computer uses less power.
