Shorthand is a neat little program language
that I have never heard of but it does work with
Abyss Web Server , download the zip
01. Create a folder called
Shorthand in C:\
02. Unzip the .zip file to
Shorthand folder
03. Add the Following to the
Abyss Web Server Console
Interpreter = C:\Shorthand\shorthand.exe
Extensions = shh
04. Create a new file named sample.shh
put this in that file , it will say Hello World!
Code: | <~
print "Hello World!";

The install and Abyss CGI set up were a breeze to do.
Only had time to try a few simlpe scripts embedded in some HTML but this little beauty is sweet !!!
Aprelium, you can drop the ASP / AHTML thing and add a section for Shorthand as an additional CGI scripting language for Abyss users! hehe
Plan to do some testing of the Shorthand ODBC connectivity to ACCESS2000 and DB/2 UDB soon ( it already does native MySQL ) ! |

We won't drop the ASP thing because many people will continue to ask how to support ASP. But we'll going to add other pages about other scripting languages.
Up to know, we have instructions for AHTML, PHP, Perl, Ruby, Rebol, Python, Lua, and Windows Scripting (cscript). If you know about other interesting languages, please let us know. _________________ Support Team

Shorthand appears to have went away....
Edit: I just checked the Shorthand website and they seem to
be back in development , their website is currently under work.
