|
|
I formatted my disk, and upon re-installing abyss, can no longer use port 80?
When I have it set to port 80, it shows: Abyss Web Server is running correctly on your system. You should now change this page with yours.
in the console I have it setup to my directory - no problemo.
I can get the site to run from :8080 or :anything, but 80 won't work - which is highly preferred, naturally.
Any settings I need to check? I tried searching the forums, and the help files, but to no avail.
Thanks in advance![/b] |

There's nothing wrong. The page you first see with Abyss is the default index.html page in the /htdocs directory telling you that Abyss is working. You now need to replace that page with your website; as it's telling you to do. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

That's the interesting part, is that I have the document path leading to a directory on d:\ while the c:\progfiles\abyss\htdocs\index.htm is still coming up.
I've changed it in the console, and the abyss.conf file shows the path I want from d:\ but no such luck when trying to run the web. |

That's interesting. My abyss console won't let me enter a path outside C:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\. |

Try restarting Abyss. That's known to work for some people. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

winnipeg,
Refresh the page, if the old is still being displayed, force another refresh while pressing the CTRL key. This will force the browser the get the page from the server and not from its cache. _________________ Support Team
