Anyone know the different between Mozilla and IE? I check my browser through some website and it all said my browser is Mozilla but actually my browser is IE. _________________

Mozilla and IE both have very different engines. Mozilla is based on the old Netscape.
Besides that, they both have different features. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

OK, history lesson.
Most of today's major browsers trace their ancestry back to the ancient “Mosaic” browser project from the early 1990's. When Mosaic first started to become a commercial product, it was beefed up and made into a "killer" browser that the developers hoped would beat the competition. They named the new browser “Mozilla” after (believe it or not) Mosaic + Godzilla. (That's where the fire-breathing dragon logo comes from!)
"Mozilla" eventually became the Netscape browser, which later got eaten by AOL, which then released the Netscape browser source code to the Open Source community, which used it to produce a new, reborn Mozilla browser. AOL/Netscape then used that reborn Mozilla code as the core of a new generation of "Netscape" branded browsers: In other words, Netscape browsers are today really just AOL-modified cousins of the Open Source Mozilla browser.
Internet Explorer also is a descendant of Mosaic/Mozilla: A separate company arising from Mosaic/Mozilla was called "Spyglass," and that source code was licensed by Microsoft and used as the basis for the first versions of IE.
Today's Mozilla browser ( http://www.mozilla.org/ ) is quite good. It has all the essential stuff that the "Netscape" version has, without the extra, um, baggage layered in by AOL.

Well there it is; I've always wondered what Mosaic was...
Good research.
EDIT: Oh, and I almost forgot. If you scroll down, it says:

"Windows 95/NT(Intel) (2,936 KB)"
Well... anyone have an emulator?
I tried it, and I got to the Yahoo 404 page; which loaded quite fast. Then it crashed, so I put it under compatibility mode for Windows 95. Didn't even load, so I conclude that the old ways aren't always the best.
It's nice to have a piece of history sitting on my hard drive. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

I got it to load my site also, but it didn't work with the CGI counter I have, and the Forum sort of worked. Also, apparently it doesn't support Frames. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Your site (PAH) looks atrociously bad. CSS is spilling all over the place, and none of the menu contents are next to each other. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

I wasn't kidding. Let's be thankful that Mosaic isn't exactly a "popular" browser.
EDIT: Oh yes, and I forgot to mention: On the Mosaic page: "Last Modified: January 26, 1997" _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Wow... that is some old school stuff.
Seems like all of the browsers are incompatibe with something. Too bad there is no Lynx emulation, because I would have liked to use it. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Notice how it says "Sorry, no lynx emulation yet..." after clicking on "Lynx on the main page. _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Don't expect Mosaic to support modern browser technologies. It will support basic HTML, GIF and JPG only. No CSS, no DHTML, no Javascript, and not even descent forms processing (it seems that file uploading isn't supported.) _________________ Support Team
