trying to get sendmail to work

i'm just a newbie to cgi, php and other programming languages but i was wondering why is my sendmail.pm file downloading why can't i view it. i think that there might be an issue with a Interpreter. but what language is extension pm...

any feedback would be appreciated

When you mean "sendmail," are you referring to the Linux "/usr/bin/sendmail?" If you are, Windows does not have one. However there are alternatives, like this one.

no i'm not refering to linux i'm trying to figure out how to use mstp to send mail but i guess i need some kind of mail server.

any help would be appriciated

Would you be so kind as to show me the script? When I search for "mstp," all I get are links to "Medical Scientist Training Programs."

Oh, you said "mstp" in your post, so I thought you were referring to something else I had not heard of.

Yes, if you want to use SMTP, you are going to have to download a mail server. I like Mercury/32 (http://www.pmail.com/).

There are sendmail-like on Windows that doesn't require that you install a mail server on your computer. Search for Blat on this forum for more information.
