I am a first time user of this type of program! Love the idea of it!! :)
Now I am having some problems getting it to the internet tho! my http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx works for me on port 80, but it isnt working for anyone else.. I have tried changing my port to 8080. Then that doesnt work for me.
My windows XP firewall has not ever been enabled
My other firewall is on low
I dont know if I am using a wrong port, i kinda doubt that. And it looks to me there is nothing else running on it. Maybe I might be mistaken, But I dont get that error
Could I be behind a proxy? How do I find that out? or change it?
and could my Cable provider actually be blocking this sort of thing??

No, this is the right section.
Do you use a router? If so, make sure you have port forwarding set up. (Refer to the router's manual on how to go about doing this). _________________ Bienvenidos! |

Hmm... The only other thing I can think of is that your ISP blocked both 80 and 8080 (...?). That's pretty rare, but might as well check.
Also, you said you had another firewall? Instead of putting it on low, just turn it off and see if the webserver works. If it does, then at least we know what the problem is.
Just double-check all the connections and settings... _________________ Bienvenidos! |
