Anywhere on my site, the url is ALWAYS gymboy689.no-ip.com. How do i get it so that it's gymboy689.no-ip.com/index.html and that sort of thing? Or is that only with a purchased domain |

your domain will always be without the index at the end cos this is where the server looks (htdocs) and it finds the index.html so it doesnt need to name it but if you were to link to anther page from your inex.html then the name of that page would be shown hope this has helped. Not a very good explanation i know |

it doesn't show at any other page either, like gymboy689.no-ip.com/random/random.html it works but when you go there by a link it shows gymboy689.no-ip.com |

The reason why its not showing up like that is because
you are using the redirection type of domain , since your
site is not on port 80 , you will have to find ahost that uses
the port forwarding method. 8) dynu.com has a free service |

I use the no-ip.com service also and there is a check box on the settings page of their site that can turn that option on/off. I can't remember what it is called, but I tried a port 80 redirect a couple weeks ago and it was showing the correct page in the address bar.
Also, if you use frames on your main page, and load links into one of the frames, the address bar would not change. _________________ My site and forums |
