Does anybody have an idea how to set up Owncloud in Abyss X1 on an Xubuntu Linux box? _________________ Red Lion

I will install Owncloud after my final exams this week. You were probably the one that emailed me last week but I never received a reply about the htaccess file I requested. The one I requested in my last email was unrelated to Owncloud. I was trying to help you solve a problem because of AWS:MRT reporting an error. Give me a few days and I will let you know if it works with Abyss Web Server. |

That was not me; haven't had a problem quite like that for a while. Would like to get Owncloud up and running, however, since Ubuntu1 went away. _________________ Red Lion

Redlion,
I do apologize for making you wait. Tonight I installed Owncloud and everything went well. I'm running some further tests to see if all features are available. Take a look at the screenshot posted for further proof of my installation success.
UPDATE 5/2/2014 @ 2:42pm EST: Email notifications work!
UPDATE 5/1/2014 @ 11:10pm EST: Owncloud's desktop sync works!
Owncloud on Abyss Web Server
I will post back when I've tested all features. Hang in there.
Regards,

That's interesting. I was unable to make owncloud work when I tried, I ended up going for Baikal instead (since it's way, way smaller and simpler and, most importantly, worked). |

After thoroughly testing Owncloud's features, I can proudly conclude that Owncloud works with Abyss Web Server. I will be posting a tutorial in the tutorials forum on how to successfully get it running on your server in the next few days. As far as the URL Rewriting features, I don't see anywhere where it even uses Full Friendly URLs. A tutorial will be posted soon. :)

That's great, but it is a Linux box I am talking about. Shall try it anyway ... _________________ Red Lion

The instructions are pretty much the same except for enabling the PHP extensions and the client-side installation. |
