Javascript Stops Working in Browser After a While

I browse with Avant browser (http://www.avantbrowser.com/ (which uses the rendering agent and some other guts of MSIE), running XP Home. I have all the latest patches from MS for IE and XP. After a day or so of leaving Avant open, Javascript on any page I'm browsing from anybody's site simply stops working... completely. I don't know whether this is an IE problem or an XP problem or an Avant problem (I've reported it a couple of times to Avant, but no known response).

The problem is easily cured simply by shutting down Avant and re-running it. Then, Javascript works again (for another half-day or day or so).

Has anyone else ever experienced this sort of problem, or have any suggestions, useful comments, etc.?

If you open an IE window at the same time as you open Avant, then leave the IE window open but untouched, when Avant stops working, use the IE window you have kept open and see if that also fails to respond to javascript...
