I'm using a CMS called Mambo and I asked them already this question, and that is ,how can I link to a network file, for example:

file://Joeblow/

It needs to be in an HTTP protocol , so I need to know how to set Abyss up to redirect a URL like

http://www.mysite.com/downloads/*whatever*.*whatever*

to an actual request for

file://Joeblow/*whatever*.*whatever*

Hoever I try setting up a Virtual Folder I believe it was with Abyss and it says Wrong path when I do anything with "file://" in it. |

And now the MAMBO people are saying it is Abyss' fault that it doesn't work..bullshitl. Abyss is one of the best servers out there.

i think your talking about Virtual Hosts , thats the only way you can have 2 different named , download folders

domain1.com/downloads (mp3 file)

domain2.com/downloads (exe file) |

ANYONE? |

We tested Mambo on Abyss in the past and it works fine. Can you please send us the question by email to support@aprelium.com and explain us exactly what you want to do?

Can you also send us a copy of the discussion you had with Mambo people? Thank you. _________________ Support Team
