				Hello,

I've just installed Abyss and I find it really easy btw! I've installed phpbb, phpBugTracker and a file sharing system in less than an hour!

My question is how can I control that a specific user can open only 2-3 connections at the server. This would be helpfull because I am sharing files and I don't want people to use flashget or getright etc, and hammer the server. (Its an intranet server btw!)

Thanks

Nick

p.s. if there is a Speed limit application or ip address limit application (not firewall!) that u had ur hands on let me know! |

You can try using a third-party FTP-Server like Serv-U. You can control the limit and it concurrent thread. _________________ CapFusion,... |

I cant have an FTP server, because the second network has only one port open for trasfer, that's why I'm using HTTP protocol in order to send files. |

I do not understand your statement above. What do you meant by you can not have second port open? Do you mean you have limited port you can open from your router / gateway?

FTP or Webserver can be open any specific port other then PORT 80 for Webserver or 21 / 20 for FTP.

I can have 3 or upto 100 Webserver or 1000 ftp server or whatever amount of server you like on one BOX. All you need is to assign and a port(s) to that server. Multiple server require more powerful / fast box. _________________ CapFusion,... |
