I'm confused!
I've pwd-protected the virtual path to phpMyAdmin using the Abyss console tool (creating myself as the only user with access allowed).
I've also pwd-protected MYSQL using phpMyAdmin (ALL users which appeared on the default "Permissions" page, i.e. "Any", "Root" etc).
Abyss, itself, is of course already pwd-protected.
I have no intention of allowing any outside users to manipulate my databases (other than when they actually USE the phpBB Forums/Gallery etc, obviously).
So... do I now need to use phpMyAdmin to protect EVERY database created in the installation of each script I'm using? Or have I already effectively "closed the door" to hacking?
Sorry for the dumb question... still learning! |
