Hi,
I am having some difficulty, as the above error message is appearing whenever I try to start the web server.
I do not have any other web server software running, and I have enabled the HTTP server service in the Windows XP firewall configuration.
Can anyone help please? If I have missed anything else please let me know |

try closing applications that are running in the background.
I was setting up the webserver on my dad's computer the other day, and skype (kazaa's internet phone program) was interfering with abyss. It said that another program was using port80 which is weird because i don't see why skype would be using that port.
Anyway - i closed skype, started abyss and started skype again and everything was working fine...
So try closing background applications...
let us know if that doesn't work...

The problem is simple , I sometimes start up my PC and Abyss Web Server will often not show in the system tray , you need to do this on your key board "Hold"
ALT + CTRL + DELETE and click on Processes and highlight the abyssws.exe and hit End process , now start Abyss Web Server. If that does not work reinstall abyss web server but don't over write your config file when installing it. Later! |
