Im having trouble using aliases. Because i dont know how to do that..
:P Say my server root was :
C:\ABYSS WEB SERVER\
and my alias to be used was :
http://my.ip.no.url.com/images
The virtual path would be :
/images
and the real path would be :
C:/ABYSS WEB SERVER\htdocs\images
as it says in the user's guide. Is that it ? because it doesnt work..Please help. :oops: _________________ "Someone who has never made a mistake, has never tried anything new" |

I use aliases all the time for my 2 web sites.
the reason why your's did not work is because
C:/ABYSS WEB SERVER\htdocs\images
is supposed to be
C:\ABYSS WEB SERVER\htdocs\images |

it should work , thats very odd , I will make a video of me creating an aliases for you , since im real nice of a person lol. I used the same directory you used.
The Aliases Movie!
http://os17fan.cjb.net/alias.zip
Just unzip the video and preview it in full screen , the movie is around
500 KB (Windows Media Player) Enjoy it! |
