| I want to share my files to my friends and such over my website thing. i don't actaully want a website with links and etc. I set the directory to the files that i want to share, but when my friend tries to go into it, it doesn't work?! |

| actually, you dont have to use FTP to do that... there are a lot of http servers that allow you to view open directories (when there is no index.htm file it generates an html document of the files in the directory, i get the impression this is what he wants to do, and consiquently i'd like to do the same... ) |
