MySQL is an independant program and as long as you install it and configure it correctly on the machine you're running Abyss on, it should be fine.

Dude im going to write a easy to follow step by step tutorial for installing mysql to work with php programs , its very simple and i will let you know when its done, just send me a private message if you have any ?'s 8)

| Just make sure to patch the wide open security holes in mySQL when you set it up. use phpmyadmin to give root a password and take out anonymous users access. |

I will include how to password protect mysql and on abyss , one of the issues that people have when installing phpmyadmin and phpBB2 Forums, I will include all those goodies and most of the tutorial will have step by step pictures , trust me you will thank me when I write this Tutorial
Features included in this tutorial is as follows:
