|
|
Okay, I've done a search already but haven't come across an answer to my question.
If I offer file downloads from my webserver, is there a way to keep any individual IP address from downloading more than 1 file at a time?
For example, if I have 10 files available to download I don't want IP 123.456.789 to be able to download all 10 at one time. I want it so that they can download file #1 and when that's finished then they can download file #2 and so on.
Is this possible? Thanks. |

I think their is a way to do that just set Keep alive Request to 1 , it only lets that person have 1 connect per visit.
If that does not work , get a FTP server. BulletProof FTP server I recommend _________________ This web server is the best ! |

Thanks, but I'm trying to move away from ftp.
If I set that Keep Alive request to 1 won't that only allow 1 person access at a time? I want to allow multiple users at one time but each of those users only 1 download at a time.
I've seen it done in the past, where you try to download more than 1 or 2 files simultaneously it won't let you. |

You might search google. I recall a program called something like Net limiter that would do this.

Thanks, I guess I'll have to check that out. :)
I was really hoping that it could be accomplished from within Abyss, but apparently not. |
