I have tried sending emails with php through phpBB, I have set it up to run through my hotpop.com mail account and I'm sure I've set it up correctly but when the board tries sending mail it says
| Code: | Ran into problems sending Mail. Response: 503 AUTH command used when not advertised

Dunno what this means although I have an inkling it's something to do with the password being encrypted/secured or something.
Any help?

The error you see is a log of the dialog that PhpBB made with your SMTP server. It is your SMTP server that complaints because it was unable to accept a command PhpBB sent. We recommend reporting the error to PhpBB team.
