Hi, I really like using abyss webserver... I did use before a bravenet hit counnter.... but now bravenet have made them look very 'uncool'. I realise abyss does not support frontpage extensions..... I was just wondering if there was any way around this?....... If not does anyone know any sites where I can get some good hit counters..... or what would you recomend for another webserver... (i use win98)

ummm.... these counters really do look good.... but I can't get any of them to work?... I've been downloading the php ones (note I don't know what php is)... then the readme's and things don't really give me much of a clue what to do?.... would you suggest a pacific download off here? I'd apreciate it.... I am sorry for my simplicity

Most of the counters are written in PHP or Perl (scripting languages); so you cannot get rid of the step consisting in installing PHP or Perl before using the counter. See http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/ for instructions on how to install one of these languages.
We recommend also using the BS Counter, it is written in Perl and is very customizable (see http://www.stanback.net/programming/bscounter ).
