i will be using ubb with abyss. i must place the path to perl in some of it's files which will be in the proper abyss folders, cgi-bin, etc. i'm not sure if
the path to perl is relative to the abyss server \perl\bin\perl (i installed perl in the abyss folder) or if it's an absolute path...for example E:\websites\abyss\perl\bin\perl

You shouldn't really have to specify a path to perl because when you configured abyss to work with perl it should automaticaly find the interpreter for perl but the path on a windows machine would be

#!C:\Perl\bin\perl.exe

Glad I can help ! 8)

Perl is about the same as cgi , it just has a .pl instead of a .cgi extension , don't let that confuse you :D

Install Perl support by following the instructions at http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/perl.html . By doing so, you can ignore all the #! settings.
