i am running my bands site from home and i see that i am getting about 400 html hits a day but about 150-175 error hits. i know the error pages when refreshed display correctly, but i would really like to reduce the number of error hits as much as possible. i have a pretty good connection that uploads about 200kps and can't seem to resolve this issue. can anyone help??? |

Read that and tell me if that sounds like what you are getting...it's really frustrating. |
that is perfectly normal but it arrises from bad coding on the website, it is annoying but i think it is also funny :) _________________ -=Gatewayy=-

i'm not geting errors from abyss when i surf in IE, my viewers are getting error pages when viewing my pages. the pages are definately set up right and all the links are correct. when they get an error page, if they refresh the page, it loads correctly. my links do not direct to an ip, they direct to a sub domain set up through my domain registration and all internal links point to /xxxx.html (in same directory) . i am trying to figure out how to get it to load correctly the first time and not after the refresh. i know there will be errors. no site is absolutely perfect and there is an acceptable percentage of error hits, just not as many as i'm getting. like i said, i'm getting an average of about 400 html hits per day and showing 150-175 error hits per day. i'm very cornfused!! |

In your log file, you can see what URLs were wrongly requested by your users. Now check what parts of your site is referring to them. Or simply investigate why these URLs are requested. _________________ Support Team

You can not really do much about it except, if you can, goto that PC and use a VERY BIG SledgeHammer serveral time or either find the source PC that cause these problem and instead using a Sledge, use a ATOMIC BOMB to blow it away.
Normally, a normal PC will not send out these junk when or if with all the update patches and Anti-Virus. Those stuff are pretty old and been around for awhile. It just like a pollen in cyber world. _________________ CapFusion,... |

I do not think you will have it just once in your Abyss Log but everyday. The only time those junk will not show up if only have a filter or similar like firewall will drop it. But then, your filter or firewall have that log instead of Abyss.
Again, it just like a pollen in cyber world. You can not eliminate it until those infect PC either get fix or get the source that cause it in the first place. _________________ CapFusion,... |
