I need to demonstrate my web site on a stand alone computer. As I use perl to generate some pages, I need to deliver them via a web server.
I've installed Abyss ok but http://127.0.0.1 in IE forces me to go offline and so I'm unable to get to the home page.
I use Abyss extensively on my networked machine in this way to locally test my remotely hosted web site and it works like a dream.
I'm probably missing something obvious here - can anyone assist?
Peter
P.S. The stand alone laptop is using Win 2K. TCP/IP seems to be working ok cos this is what MySql uses and that is working fine.
Answer: use Firefox instead of IE.

Simply open IE, select meny Tools > Internet Options > Connections. Select "Never dial a connection" and press OK. _________________ Support Team
