You can use either appliance or software firewall to protect your box. How good is Abyss in security? Please find the "Brute Hacking" in "Networking Issues" - http://www.aprelium.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1660 Apprently, the only security Abyss have is just plain "Username and Password" protection / security. BTW, you should customize your Abyss "error" message. If a hacker know what type webserver you are using and know it weakness, it will easily gain access or beak in to your PC by "Brute Force". This just IMHO / IME regarding security. I seen too many user fall victem in weak security that can easity implement stronger security as "Preset Attempt" and some other combination.
