Newbie need domain address without www.

I need to create a domain name without the www. bit so i just get http://server dot something dot somthing
as an extension to my hosted website
im using Abyss Server x2
no-ip dynamic service
D-link router
and a broadband cable modem

can anybody help

do you mean you want to type http://serverdot something in your browser with out needing to type http://www.serverdot something to access your site?


if yes, just go to : Abyss Web Server Console

Click - configure on the site name you want to edit.

click- General

in Host Names add an * infornt of the site name.

Type

*server dot something

rather than have

www.server dot something

in the text area.

if this is not what you mean, sorry to waste your time.
