Which of these should be set to YES, and which should be set to NO?

Resolve interpreter using the Windows Registry:

Resolve interpreter using the script's #! line:

Please confirm. Thanks! :-)

That depends on what resolving mode you want to have. The full explanation of these is the CGI chpater in the documentation.
But if you have installed PHP/ASP/Perl using our guidelines, you can set both of them to No (this will speedup the server).

I used your guides to set up Perl and PHP, but not ASP, so I'll set both settings to "NO".

Now, pardon the newbie questions, but If I set them both to "NO", how will it know what to do? :?
I'm gonna read the manual again, but I'm a bit confused.

Also, I have a question about setting up an ALIAS:

I installed "phpMyAdmin" into the "htdocs" folder, and I password-protected that directory thru Abyss. I'm not too clear on what settings to use for VIRTUAL PATH & REAL PATH.

Right now, I have VIRTUAL PATH set to "/phpmyadmin"
and REAL PATH set to "C:\Program Files\Abyss Web Server\htdocs\phpmyadmin".

Is that correct? Is there a shorter way of specifying the REAL PATH? Please advise. Thanks. :)

It will know by using the CGI Interpreter table (it will match the file extension with the interprter).

In that case, you don't need to set an alias since the directory alredy exists inside your htdocs.

Ok, I understand now!!!

The CGI Interpreter will know because the file will have a ".pl" or ".cgi" file extension.

I would only need to set up an alias for the "phpmyadmin" folder if it was in a folder OUTSIDE of the server path.

Thank you for clarifying things for me. :D
