Just downloaded the abyss server, got my own domain name, got everything forwarded through the router just fine, but for some reason I can only get a directory listing from the server. It will not automatically access index.html like it is supposed to. However I can access it from the directory listing just fine. I moved the default folder, but everything else is still the same. If you want to see for yourself, the website is <h**p://www.bigbadmammogram.shacknet.nu/> So, does anyone have any idea why this is happening? Did I overlook something in the config? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

Pankcake_of_DOOM,
Check the index files settings in the console and ensure that the index file name that you are viewing is listed there. If it is, refresh your browser page by pressing CTRL+F5 or CTRL+SHIFT+R. Your browser may be giving you a stale view of that URL as saved in its cache and not actually retrieving it from the server.
By the way, your site URL is not accessible. We suggest reviewing the article in http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/articles/x1-server-access.html to troubleshoot your network settings. _________________ Support Team

I figured out that my isp is blocking port 80, so thats why it was inaccessible. I fixed that, then checked the index file, and it was there. Then I tried connecting to the server again, and this time it worked, so Im guessing my browser was giving me a stale page.
Now I have another problem, anyone know of a way I can get around my ISP's restrictions? |

There is no way around it. Some ISP's will unblock it if you upgrade to a business package. The only other option is to change ISP's. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)
