				I'm now getting this message:

-- Default host on port 80 has a listening problem (Local URL http://127.0.0.1)

So far as I can tell I have no service that uses port 80. Apache isn't even installed, let alone started.

I'm using PCLinuxOS. Anyone can give me a clue? I've been running X2, for some time on my win machine, and am testing X1, here, on Linux. It works fine on port 8080, but for obvious reasons, I don't want to go into production on that port.

Help, please... |

I don't use Linux (and haven't in a long time), but I remember being told that only the root account could use ports <= 1024. I could be wrong. _________________ -Blake | New Server :D

This may be a stupid question, but how do you run a web server, then? |

Ok, I ran as root and that solves the problem. GOOD CALL!

Now all I have to do is worry about security. I did a su root and then executed with the -r option. I hope that does it.

Any comments or suggestions will be appreciated! |

You first have to run Abyss as root, close it then run as a normal user. Stupid I know but it does work. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)

I sent an email to support and go a very quick response back that solved my problem.. Run it as a service!!!! That allows it to execute at root level from a user account and solves the port 80 problem.

SIMPLE when you know what to do!

Thanks Aprelium!!! |
