I currently have port 80 of my router forwarded to port 80 on my web-server (Running Abyss X2). But I have now installed Microsoft Home Server on a dedicated box and this also needs port 80 forwarding to it. So can I configure my DNS records to do the following:-
redirect access to www.dancingbear.me.uk to
80.xxx.xx.xxx:8008 (an IP address and specific port)
and then xxxxxxx.livenode.com will then be on port 80 and hence redirected to the Microsoft box.
Setting the router to then correctly port forward is straight forward.
My experience with DNS records is very limited. I basically followed the REG-123.co.uk sample to do the original set-up (which has run for 6 months). But this is beyond their FAQ.
Thanks for any advice.

No you cannot use a port in a DNS address. You could use a no-ip port 80 redirect though temporaly. _________________ Andy (AbyssUnderground) (previously The Inquisitor)
