When you install AHTML, you should add index.asp as your default file, leave index.html there aswell as any others that may already be configured, then, just make the default page "index.asp" by renaming it. _________________ Any information contained herein is provided in "as is" condition without any guarantee for its accuracy, contains no warrantees - express or implied - and confers no rights.

To use ASP files with Abyss Web Server, you should have Windows NT/2000/XP and use ActiveHTML. Installing all this is described in http://www.aprelium.com/abyssws/asp.html . _________________ Support Team

Aprelium, i believe AHTML also works on Windows 9x (excluding WinME) and definatley runs on Windows 2003 Server RC1/2 ;) _________________ Any information contained herein is provided in "as is" condition without any guarantee for its accuracy, contains no warrantees - express or implied - and confers no rights.

AHTML will also require a license after the first 40 days, check Apreliums post to find the Selisoft website. Email them and ask for a free license, they should send you the details within a week... _________________

http://www.selisoft.com/en/ahtml/sysreq.html still state that only 2000/NT/XP are supported. Have you tested it on Win9x? _________________ Support Team

well, trust me, it works! - I wouldn't be running AHTML if it didn't now would I ;) They arn't advertising it on WIndows2003 Server as they couldn't get it to work, I've offered to send them my config files etc... to inicate to them that it can be done under Win2003 ;) _________________ Any information contained herein is provided in "as is" condition without any guarantee for its accuracy, contains no warrantees - express or implied - and confers no rights.

The fact that it runs on Win2003 is not a surprise as it is very similar to Windows NT/2000/XP. But the fact that it can run on Win98/Me is what is surprising us. Technically 98 and Me have less internal features that other Windows versions and ActiveHTML requirements do not state that it can run on those personal versions of Windows. So have you tested it on 98 or Me? _________________ Support Team

I have had it running on Win98SE before, or I think so, it would have been a while ago ;) - I'll check it out again sometime. _________________ Any information contained herein is provided in "as is" condition without any guarantee for its accuracy, contains no warrantees - express or implied - and confers no rights.

Could someone tell me where I can get a version of ActiveHTML that will work with Windows Me? I have been looking around and have not been able to find it.
Thanks in advance!

According to SeliSoft, ActiveHTML runs only on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 and not on 95/98/Me. _________________ Support Team

 Thanks for the reply aprelium, I guess I will just have to upgrade my OS sometime in the near future. Anyway, if someone knows of a way to get ActiveHTML to work with Windows Me, I would still be interested in knowing.
Thanks again,
Luke |

Don't believe it. I have AHTML ( the free version ). And I can not get my web browser to recognise the asp extension to save my butt in a hail storm. IO have been in this website for 4 1/2 hours now researching all the posts and have been throught the tutorials with a fine tooth comb and I still am not able to get it to work on ME.   _________________ :) |
