The download files aren't working.

I did that, and it wont work. I deleted /cgi-bin and put / and did all the other stuff, and when I clicked submit to test out my php form mailer. it wouldnt work i click on it and all i would hear is the clicking sound. |

no. it didnt say to do that !!!! it said add a new one called / not delete /cgi-bin if you read it well it will guide you thru error free.. !!!! |

Take your time and read through the guide... Asking that question on this forum is like asking why if you jump off a bridge, you fall...
You've got the link, Its all you need. It'll direct you to the shortest guide for installation with a link to php.net for the php core language file download.

also, make sure you download the self extracting file, if you are using windows to host the webserver use one of the mirrors from here: http://www.php.net/get/php-4.3.1-installer.exe/from/a/mirror - the others are really dodgy when installing and dont always work out with the instructions on this site. The packages there will self-install wherever you want them. Then run through the guide i pointed out and it should work... _________________
